It seems to be that time again when I know a few people having babies. I decided to knit them a pair of baby booties (although I did read a very practical suggestion to knit three in case one gets lost). It took a while to find a suitable pattern but in the end I opted for a Sirdar pattern and knitted them in Sirdar Snuggly Baby Crofter DK which gives a lovley multi-coloured finish.
This was a fun project to do. As my husband is a bit of a sci-fi/gaming fan he said he would like a space invader hat. I didn’t have a pattern for one, but found some space invader shapes online and converted them to a grid and made the beanie up as I went along. It’s knitted using Sirdar Ultra Denim and is very snug!
You can now download the free pattern to make your own.
I decided to make presents for relatives this Christmas and knitted this red hoodie for Max. I hadn’t knitted a hood before and that took a couple of attempts but was otherwise surprisingly quick to do. When he opened his present his mum asked him if he liked it, he said “no” (bless, he was only three and a half). He did like it really and got plenty of wear out of it.
